Giving to Regive Giving to Regive is sharing with another person without either party experiencing a deficit. Most giving and receiving leaves one or both parties with less than what they began with. For example, I have a slice of bread and you ask me for some. I tear a piece of my bread and hand it to you. Both of us now have bread, yet neither of us has a whole slice of bread. While this type of sharing can be important in the world, Giving to Regive elevates sharing to a different level. An illustration of Giving to Regive can be seen with candles. You and I both have candles, but mine is alight with a flame. To light your candle, we bring our two candles together. The flame of my candle changes from a bright orange/yellow color to a translucent blue, almost extinguishing the flame. As the two candles separate both candles are alight with flame, neither being diminished by the lighting of the candle.
